Never Date An Astronaut

I’m not sure why, but whenever I need to spell the word “astronaut” I always initially want to spell it “astronaught.” Maybe I eat too much doughnuts? Wait, it’s donut. Shit. Anyway, this awesome tee by Katie Campbell is the perfect shirt for anyone with aspirations of exploring space or maybe just need, well, more space.

Never Date an Astronaut is available now from Threadless for $20.

Nifty Notebook Pocket Square Handkerchief

This is a neat little notebook that looks like a pocket square handkerchief. Want to look like Mad Men but slightly more functionality? Try one of these.

Hankie Pocketbook is available now from Animi Causa for $9.99.

Choppercizer

Hey, I love running outside. I love feeling the natural air blog against my face. BUT, if I had access to an exercise bike like the one below then maybe … nah, I’d still prefer running outside! Regardless, this is the perfect shirt for your favorite fitness geek!

Choppercizer is available now from Glennz tees for $16.95.

SuperMad Men: Can Superman Save Don Draper?

I’ve always been a fan of the opening credits for AMC’s Mad Men. What’s not to love about falling silhouettes? In the latest BustedTees tee, Superman saves Don Draper from a bad day. Now, THAT might make for a pretty interesting crossover episode. How do you think Lois Lane wold cope as a belittled copywriter?

Supermad Men is available now from BustedTees for $20.

Be Queen Amidala

I don’t think that I’ve ever posted a Queen Amidala T-Shirt on this blog before. That might be because my readership consists of 95% men. At least that’s what Analytics tell me. In any case, here’s a regal red and gold T-Shirt from Her Universe. In truth, I actually like the model and the model’s makeup slightly more than the T-Shirt itself.

Queen Amidala is available now from Her Universe for $28.

Stan Lee POW! Ring

Stan Lee is one of the most heralded comic book writers of our time. He helped to define the genre. Many of the superhero characters that we love today and can’t wait to read and watch on the big screen originated from the mind of Stan Lee. He co-created characters like Spider-Man, the Hulk, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, and the Avengers.

At the age of 89, Stan Lee is still in the comic book game. He not only continues to make appearances in feature films from Marvel Studios, but he also runs POW (Purveyors of Wonder) Entertainment. POW produced Stan Lee’s Lightspeed and that network’s reality television series Who Wants to Be a Superhero?

Right now you can score an official Stan Lee ring emballozied with the POW logo. Each sterling silver ring is part of a limited run of 250 pieces and comes in a custom glass see-thru ring display case. The ring also includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Stan himself. The sterling silver collectible ring is available now for $275. Don’t have $275 lying around? They have a non Sterling Silver version going for $45.

Build Robots Today and Fight Aliens Tomorrow!

I absolutely adore this T-Shirt from the Sneaky Studios Store. This is definitely robot propaganda at its finest. What else are we gonna use to defend ourselves against an alien invasion? I mean, it turned out okay for post-apocalyptic 2029. You’ve seen Terminator, right? Love the wish, though I wish that the price point was slightly lower.

Build Robots Today is available now from Sneaky Studios Store for $50 New Zealand ($40 US).

I Can Has 101 Funny LOLcat T-Shirts???

As long as there is an Internet there will be dozens of mis-spelled cat memes floating around. Let’s face it, the cat is the official mascot of the Internet. No one or thing is bigger than those furry felines of mischief roaming InternetLAND. Well, maybe Double Rainbow Guy. Don’t be fooled though, everyone in the know acknowledges that Double Rainbow Guy is actually a cat disguised as a human. It’s the same cat that’s behind the Nyan Cat Phenomenon. Trust me.

I’d love to hear which one of these are your favorites and whether or not you own any of these tees! And if you know of a LOL Cat shirt not on this list then please tell me about it. Leave a comment below in the comments section and let me know!

If you enjoyed this post then please, please, please, tell you’re friends about it! A simple Tweet or post on Facebook will help to get the word out, and a link back on your blog would be greatly appreciated!

Kitschy Upcycled Macbook and iPad Sleeves

Etsy seller Finders&Keepers is in the business of taking normal, everyday items and recycling them for novel uses. Take for example that old Polo shirt sitting in your closet. They’ll take Polo’s just like that forgotten one in your closet and repurpose it into something useful – like a MacBook or iPad case.

I’m not too sure if I’d use these for my own MacBooks or iPads, but I can totally see a certain niche of people loving this item. This would make for the perfect gift for the techie that loves to frequent garage sales, swap meets, second-hand shops, and craigslist. And let’s not forget what a wonderful conversation piece these cases would make.

The Finders& Keepers Recycled MacBook and iPad cases are available now from Etsy and range in price from $55 to $75.

The New Old Navy Best-Tee + Mr. T + Anna Ferris

The last time I blogged about Old Navy I was a bit of a grammar Nazi. But we’ll let the past be the past. I’ve long been a fan of Old Navy. I think I bought my first pair of Old Navy jeans in the seventh grade. I’ve upgraded to Levi’s since then, but I still love a good pair of Old Navy shorts and Old Navy and GAP solid color tees have long been a part of my wardrobe arsenal. Now it looks like they’ve upgraded their basic tee to the new Old Navy Best-Tee (I wonder if Threadless will get mad). The best part is they’ve got Mr. T to promote it.

Universe famous actor Mr. T and world renowned Old Navy have teamed up in this brand new infomercial, not yet released to the public. Mr. T’s bestie, dazzling actress Anna Farris, was having major tee troubles. Luckily, it’s Best-Tee to the rescue!

The new Old Navy Best-Tee has been totally reinvented to be the greatest, softest, best-fitting t-shirt in the history of everything. Don’t believe us? Well, think again. Check out these infomercials we made explaining why:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTWTl-6qSSE

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK_Yb_1CDqc

I love these mock informercials! They’re sort of a mashup of those silly Old Spice Man commercials and Threadless’ Ten Buck Tony. Mr. T is awesome as always. Side note: why is it that Mr. T doesn’t seem to age? Anna Farris is actually quite funny in these commercials as well. They picked the best comedian to show off the curve enhancing new Best-Tee.

This is an obvious attempt at Old Navy trying to go viral through the use of social media. The commercials have only been online for 5 days and they already have over 100,000 views each. In comparison, one of Old Spice Man’s videos on YouTube has a staggering 40 million views. Let’s see if Old Nave can achieve THAT kind of online notoriety!

Mountains, Mountains, and Mountains

Like triangles? Love Ugmonk? If you said yes to at least one of those two questions then you will (you should at least) adore Mountains from Ugmonk. This is actually a re-released design from the Minimal Series released by Ugmonk last spring. The design is highlighted by a new colorway and is now available in hoodie form.

Mountains is available now from Ugmonk for $24.

Superman Caped Knee High Socks

These Superman Caped Knee High Socks from 80sTees is so bad that they’re awesome. Seriously, if you’ve got the audacity to use these socks (of course, with shorts not long pants) then you’ve earned a pair of thumbs of up from me. There really isn’t much more to be said about these.

The Superman Caped Knee High Socks is available now from 80sTees for $10.00.

And if you’re amongst the die-hard group of people that will dig these socks then you probably will love Justice League: Doom, the latest DC Animated movie. Justice League: Doom is available now from Amazon for $18.99.

The New iPad + Steve Jobs Tribute T-Shirt

Today Apple unveiled The New iPad (for all intents and purposes it’s the iPad 3). The updated iPad features an upgraded rearside camera that some have said will revolutionize how we document our lives (I think the iPhone already did that), iPhoto (a welcome core app addition), and the mythical Retina display (we all knew it was coming).

With all the excitement behind the The New iPad, I sit here and watch the keynote and can’t help but think of Steve Jobs. I can’t help but think of what Steve Jobs would have thought about this iPad, how he would have unveiled it, and what he thought of its stripped down name. The iPad looks to be another excellent update to what has become arguably Apple’s flagship product. I’m just sad that Steve Jobs wasn’t here to see it come to fruition.

Sad Mac is available now from Degree for $35.

GoTees: Write Your Goal On Your Sleeve

Keep that goal of yours close to you and write it on your sleeve. Literally, write it on your sleeve. Don’t feel like ruining a perfectly good T-Shirt? Try a GoTee Shirt from Betabrand. Once you receive your T-Shirt all you need is a goal in mind and a sharpie.

“The GoTee is more than a rugged crew shirt. It’s an entertaining excuse for you to accomplish something — anything. Like climbing a mountain. Or eating a mountain of Rocky Mountain oysters. Or painting a porpoise portrait. Or perhaps teaching a porpoise to paint portraits.”

GoTees are available now from Betabrand for $29. Sharpie not included.

Support Linsanity

I admit that I’ve just jumped on the Jeremy Lin bandwagon. I’ve seen the highlights and I have even sat through a game and watched him play. He is the truth. The only question now is whether or not he can play alongside Melo. We will see. Jeremy Lin is primed to become the first ever bonafide Asian-American NBA superstar. You’ve got my support, buddy.

Linsanity is available now from Nike for $25.

Wear This T-shirt. Send a Black Fax.

It’s not just a black rectangle. No. It’s an homage to the Black Fax. Confused? Here you go, courtesy of Wikipedia.

“The term black fax refers to a prank fax transmission, consisting of one or more pages entirely filled with a uniform black tone. The sender’s intention is typically to consume as much of the recipient’s fax ink, toner or thermal paper or disk space as possible, thus costing the recipient money and/or denying the recipient the use of their machine (this is similar to computer-based denial of service attacks). This is made easier because the fax transmission protocols compress the solid black image very well, so a very short fax call can produce many pages.

Black faxes have been used to harass large institutions or government departments, to retaliate against the senders of junk faxes, or merely as simple pranks.

The basic principle of a black fax can be extended to form a black fax attack. In this case, one or more sheets are fed halfway through the sender’s fax machine and taped end to end, forming an endless loop that cycles through the machine. Not only can solid black be used, but also images which will repeat endlessly on the receiver’s machine until his or her toner runs out.”

Black Fax is available now from Cool Try for $20.
